Diosual was created in 2017 under the name GC Produções e Conteúdo. The name nodded to the initials of the founder, Guto Colunga, being renamed Diosual in 2021. The company's new name represents a global brand and the combination of the word "audiovisual," creating a name that evokes a transcendent, unique, and limitless experience, with the main goal of inspiring us to be more creative, fun, and daring in order to tell high-quality stories to Brazilian and international audiences.
Diosual Entertainment is a content and distribution company whose mission is to create unique, appealing, and engaging programs for a global audience. With its roots in Brazil, Diosual is dedicated to conveying stories in universal languages while fostering connections between Brazil and the rest of the world. In 2022, Diosual created its Talent division, Diosual Talents, a division dedicated to talent, offering a diverse roster of showrunners, authors, writers, directors, and producers. Its objective is to enhance Diosual Entretenimento's creative abilities, bring together top talents, and create exceptional stories for all platforms. Diosual Talents features many renowned directors and script writers responsible for, Brazilian blockbusters and who have also received prestigious awards such as the Emmy.
In that same year (2022), Diosual launched film and television divisions, Diosual Pictures Studios and Diosual Television Studios, respectively, with the ambitious vision of establishing a diverse media company to create and produce high-quality, bold original stories that attract a global audience. The first scheduled films are "Blood Mission" and "Poltergeist Pranks," which will hit Brazilian theaters in 2026.
In 2023, Diosual introduced its latest business segment and division, Diosual Theatrical, which intends to unite people using thrilling live experiences. This division is committed to excellence in all of its endeavors and, as it recognizes the transformative potential of culture, it is dedicated to promoting educational programs and access to the theater.
In early 2025, Diosual launched a new strategic division: Diosual Distribution, specializing in the distribution of films, series, and documentaries across multiple platforms. The goal is not only to distribute Diosual’s original content but also to form partnerships with domestic and international production companies, expanding the reach of its content in Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. The division’s first major deal was with Medialand Productions, one of the leading producers of true crime content in Brazil, with the aim of distributing their content to cable channels, streaming platforms, FAST services, and free-to-air TV, expanding their presence and audience, not only in Brazil but globally.
