Here comes the Brazilian Succession! That's how the Diosual production company is promoting the series 'Whose Money Is It?', an adaptation of the non-fiction book of the same name that gathers stories from the national stock market.

While the original work brings together more than 50 different stories, collected by former stockbroker Adley Piovesan and narrated alongside writer Homero Chemale, the adaptation will blend elements from various of these vignettes into a single narrative.

According to Deadline, the focus will be on the Salvatore Abud family, with patriarch Ítalo becoming the guardian of his two grandchildren after his son's death in a plane crash. His intention is to train the boy to be his successor, but in the end, it is the magnate's granddaughter who ends up showing aptitude for the financial market.

When the banker discovers that his mistress was responsible for his son's death, however, his world turns upside down. Amid emotional turmoil, the patriarch's health deteriorates, and his grandchildren take over his empire, changing the course of the Brazilian financial market forever.

The director Alexandre Avancini (Nada a perder) is committed to the project, which has scripts by Solange Castro Neves (A Viagem) and Thalma Bartozzi.

"Whose Money Is It?" still does not have a release date or defined broadcaster.
